Ahhhhh, a sexy wee pig-goblin-bird-thing climbing up an ever sinking tower avoiding bubbles, fire, magic and all other means of horrid nasties.... Pure frikkin' genius. For the concept originality alone this scores extremely high on my scale of yummy creations, and the graphic implementation is second to none. Not since I first laid eyes on Encounter for the c64 had I been so mesmerized by a..More

Review of Rebel a Game on the Commodore 64

Rebel, I remember purchasing on Tape from one of those bargain bins for about $9 Australian Currency, it was a fantastic game with a tank and its swivelling turret roaming around a map, not unlike the sort of gameplay found in the c64 / Amiga (and probably other formats) game Deflektor. The idea was that you've almost reached 30 years old and are due for summary execution, as we don't want too ma..More

One night, when little Giana from Milano was tucked up in her bed and sleeping fast, she had a mysterious dream. Through the swirls of a dark, deep dreamscape she suddenly found herself in a strange land of traps, tricks and malevolent creatures. To escape this weird world of imaginings, Gianna passes through its 32 levels in search of a great, magical diamond. These stages are set either above..More

Imagine chess played on a board that’s constantly changing and happens to be filled with powerful characters like golems, wizards, and phoenixes battling goblins, banshees, and other enemies... Archon is a brilliant boardgame based on chess but set in some bizarre fantasy realm of myth and magic. The gameplay holds up today because basically chess is a timeless classic, and of course addin..More

This game is basically what started my downhill slide into senescence and escapism. I'd be twice the man I am today if not for this game. Don't play it!

Review of Blitzkrieg a Game on the Commodore 64

Blitzkrieg was one of the first Strategy games i'd ever played, it was absolutely fantastic, moving your troops around and observing the battles as they raged on. One of the best c64 strategy games I have the fortune to play, even though i had the tape version it was worth the wait to load it.

Review of Archipelagos a Game on the Commodore Amiga

A t last! I thought the day would never come, an original Amiga game! A new form of 3D. No violence. No other human opponent! Instead you have to work your way through 9,999 3D landscapes, defeating the huge monolith on each, by first absorbing its underlings, and then absorbing the big guy. The controls are simple. Point to where you want to go and then press the transfer button. It is strategic..More
